Wetlands Reserve Enhancement Program

Map of Wetlands Reserve Enhancement Program, Lower Missouri River, NebraskaThe Lower Missouri River Wetland Reserve Enhancement Program (WREP) began in 2004.  USDA partnered with other conservation organizations to offer incentives for landowners with property bordering the Missouri River from Ponca to Rulo, Neb., to restore their wetlands. Nebraska is the first state approved within NRCS for this program.  See the the information below for more details.

Landowners interested in this program, or other wetland opportunities, should contact their local NRCS office.
