Nebraska Cooperative Conservation Partnership Initiative (CCPI)

The Cooperative Conservation Partnership Initiative (CCPI) is a voluntary conservation initiative that enables the use of certain conservation programs with resources of eligible partners to provide financial and technical assistance to owners and operators of agricultural and nonindustrial private forest lands.

In Nebraska, NRCS is entering into a multi-year agreement with the Nebraska Department of Agriculture. The purpose of this agreement is to continue and expand the removal of invasive vegetation in fully and over appropriated river basins.  NRCS is offering $1.5 million in cost share assistance to landowners in these river basins for this initiative.

The river basins eligible for CCPI funds are the North and South Platte River basins, the Platte River basin to the eastern Polk County line, all of the Republican River basin, and the Niobrara River basin. (Click on map below for full-screen view).
