2008 Nebraska Science Bowl Final Results

High School Results

Lincoln East High School - Team A from Lincoln won the 15th Annual Nebraska High School Science Bowl that was held February 2, 2008.  The team comprised Ryan Pickerill, George Miller, Brady Gilg, James Hao, Alexander Churchill, and Marcus Schmidt, Coach.

2008 Science Bowl Winner, Lincoln East High School

Bellevue East High School from Bellevue finished second; Lincoln East High School – Team B from Lincoln finished third; and Lakeview High School – Team A from Columbus finished fourth.

The "I'm Science Smart" winner was Daniel Holtmeyer of Bellevue West High School in Bellevue.  Daniel won this award by answering the most toss-up questions correctly in the morning round robin matches.

The "Team Civility Award" went to Lincoln East High School, Team A in Lincoln.  This important award is presented to the team who best represents “good sportsmanship”, whether winning or losing.  Each member of this team received a brief case.

 

Middle School Results

Lux Middle School from Lincoln won the 5th Annual Nebraska Middle School Science Bowl that was held on January 26, 2008.  The team comprised Drew Bakenhus, Jackson Fisher, Jessica Qiu, Isaac Bohart, Michael Liou, and Rich Powers, Coach.

2008 Science Bowl Winner, Lux Middle School

Gretna Middle School from Gretna finished second and Charles Culler Middle School of Lincoln finished third.

The "I'm Science Smart" winner was Erica Elise Pribil of Charles Culler Middle School in Lincoln.  Erica won this award by answering the most toss-up questions correctly in the morning round robin matches.

The "Team Civility Award" went to Goodrich Middle School, Team A in Lincoln.  This important award is presented to the team who best represents “good sportsmanship”, whether winning or losing.  Each member of this team received a brief case.
